Founder
Kathryn Flynn Michaels, B.F.A., M.S.W., L.H., N.L.P.M.P. , E.M.D.R. Certified
Kathryn Flynn Michaels has studied various healing traditions for over 25 years. She attended
Johns Hopkins University and NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she studied writing,
anthropology, and film-making. She worked with Barbara Marx Hubbard on her documentary
project, "The Evolution of Human Consciousness." She later returned to NYU to receive her
masters degree in clinical social work.
Working to teach empowerment tools to her clients individually and in groups, she integrates
contemporary clinical skills with modalities from many traditions. Specializing in trauma , P.T.S.D.
Disorders, and recovery from addictions, she began to notice dramatic shifts in people using the
wisdom teachings she received from various teachers. These practices include mindfulness
meditation, guided imagery, hypnosis, neuro-linguistic programming, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral
therapy, and Shamanic practices.
Kathryn studied with many medicine people, including Incan elders, (Don Umberto and Dona
Bernadina in picture below), Don Martin "El Condor", Mohawk stonekeeper Barbara Little Bear,
Ecuadorian Yachak Don Jorge Tamayo, Dr. Alberto Villoldo, Tara Brach, Sandra Ingerman, Donna
Eden, David Nichtern, Hank Wesselman, and John Perkins. Initiated in the Andean tradition, she
received the sacred rites (Karpays), including those of the Earthkeepers, Munay Ki, and Don
Martin's Hatun Karpay.
Kathryn is also a graduate of the Four Winds Healing the Light Body School, a certified Dying
Consciously Instructor and an ordained non-denominational minister.
